Go Metro to Drop Off your Vote-By-Mail Ballot, Ride Free on Election Day, Sept. 14

 

There is a special gubernatorial recall election taking place this year on Tuesday, Sept. 14. Those of you who are registered to vote will receive a vote-by-mail ballot, which you’ll be able to return at any ballot drop-off box, including the ones installed at the following Metro stations:

  • Union Station (East Portal)
  • El Monte Bus Station (plaza area)
  • Mariachi Plaza Station (mezzanine area)
  • Harbor Freeway Station (park and ride area)
  • Wilshire/Vermont Station (courtyard area)
  • North Hollywood Station (plaza area outside B Line portal)
  • Woodman Station (near bike racks/bike lockers)
  • Hollywood/Western Station (plaza area)
  • Norwalk Station (plaza area)
  • Harbor Gateway Transit Center

Drop off your ballot while commuting and ensure your vote arrives on time. If you have not yet registered to vote, you can do so here.

Metro will be offering free rides on buses and trains on the statewide Election Day, which is Tuesday, Sept. 14, for those who prefer to vote in person. The free rides will run from midnight to 11:59 p.m. on Sept. 14. Metro Bike is also offering free 30-minute rides on Election Day. No promo code is necessary. Just select 1-Ride online, in the app, or at any Metro Bike Share kiosk to redeem. A credit or debit card is required.

Glendora Transportation Division, Los Angeles County Department of Public Works County Shuttles, Montebello Bus Lines and Pasadena Transit will also provide free rides for riders on their transit systems.
